'Vinícius Scores Twice' as Brazil Secures First Copa América Win

The 'Samba Army' of Brazil claimed their first victory in the 2024 Copa América by defeating Paraguay.

Ranked 4th by FIFA, Brazil triumphed over 58th-ranked Paraguay 4-1 in the Group D second match of the tournament, held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, on the 29th (Korean time).

Brazil had a shaky start to the tournament, drawing 0-0 with Costa Rica in their opening match. However, by defeating Paraguay, they have reasserted themselves as contenders for the title after just two games.

Brazil now sits in second place in Group D (4 points), following Colombia, who secured their place in the quarterfinals with two consecutive wins (6 points) by defeating Costa Rica.

Despite recording 19 shots in their first match, Brazil failed to score due to poor finishing. In this game, they launched an offensive from the start but struggled to find the back of the net against Paraguay.

In the 30th minute of the first half, Lucas Paquetá missed a penalty kick awarded for a handball by the opponent, leaving Brazil frustrated. 먹튀검증

Paraguay managed to pull one back through Omar Alderete just three minutes into the second half. However, Lucas Paquetá redeemed himself by converting a penalty in the 20th minute, awarded for another handball by the opposition, sealing the victory for Brazil.
